Why Using Insulin in Type 2 Diabetes Doesn't Work
STILL ON USING INSULIN IN TYPE 2 DIABETES.
Treating type 2 diabetes, a metabolic disease caused by too much insulin and severe insulin resistance, with even more insulin (in the form of 💉 or 💊 💊 that stimulate more insulin secretion) is the most illogical therapeutic approach that modern medicine has adopted.
If you have type 2 diabetes (a problem of too much insulin and insulin resistance) and are taking insulin or drugs that increase insulin like Sulfonylureas (e.g. Glibenclamide AKA Daonil, glipizide, glimepiride), you are making your diabetes worse.

Reversing insulin resistance requires carbs restriction not switching from tablets to injections
There are at least 10 classes of medications for type 2 diabetes that include pills and injections. Then you have combination medications of different classes, creating 50-100 different drugs.
NONE of them reverse type 2 diabetes, but a low carb diet CAN and does all the time. I recently got a patient with type 2 diabetes off 94 units of insulin within 3 weeks on a very low carb diet.
Now the work is to reinforce the new eating habits, correct her insulin resistance, lose weight and come off more medications. This should be the standard of care!
